How does the Addams Family celebrate the holidays? By reading The Littlest Shoggoth, of course!

Thanks to Shaun Rice (Uncle Fester) and the rest of the touring cast of “The Addams Family Musical” for letting me have even a tangential connection to one of my favorite fictional families of all time.

Yes, it’s true . . . a year ago we were in the midst of the Kickstarter campaign, and now The Littlest Shoggoth is actually out and available in stores and online! And you still have plenty of time to get a copy for your own family to enjoy this holiday season.

You can order the book through your friendly local game store. It’s available through most major distributors. Just tell your store owner to ask for product #OWC4009 from Studio 2 Publishing/Super Genius Games.

Or, if you want to order the book directly yourself, you can do so through the Paizo Publishing online store. While you’re there, you can ALSO get copies of the Littlest Shoggoth lapel pin, and a pair of post cards.

And, as a holiday special, I’m offering a special deal: If you order a book directly from me, I’ll sign and sketch in it for no additional charge. That’s right, FREE signature & sketch from me to you. The book itself costs $20 and shipping is $6 domestic ($20 international). If you’re interested in that deal, just drop me a note at stan@stannex.com and I’ll give you the details on how to make  your squamous dreams come true!

HOLY CATS! Gen Con is NEXT WEEK, guys!!!!

I’ve done a bad job of promoting it, but I’ve got A LOT going on during this year’s “4 Best Days in Gaming.” Foremost, for the first time in many years, I’ll actually be an EXHIBITOR at the show this year!

You ‘ll find me at the very end of the 1100 Aisle showing the world what I’ve got at AUTHORS AVENUE — Table S. Just go over by the media signing area at the back of the hall, turn around, and my table should be around there somewhere.

But I’m not JUST showing off . . . I’ll have thingies for sale . . . wondrous, magical thingies such as copies of The Littlest Shoggoth (and some of the lapel pins, too), my two fantasy coloring books (What Color Is Your Dragon? and Paint Your Face With Runes), a selection of the novels and short story anthologies I’ve gotten my words into over the years, two short children’s books I self-published,  a handful of art prints, and a brand new 10’x10′ Toon Calendar for 2014. I’ll probably even be doing original art sketches, if folks have any interest in such a thing.

But lest you think I’ll spend the entire show scheming ways to make sales to gamers with weak-minds . . . errrrr . . . I mean, exquisite taste, I’ll also be speaking at a handful of seminars. If you simply want to anonymously enjoy my proclamations and worldly advice, you can join the crowds at the following events (check the registration book for locations).

WED. @9:00 — Diana Jones Award Ceremony

THU. @Noon — Launching a $100 PDF Publishing Empire
THU. @3:00 — Freelancing for Super Genius Games

If you’re going to be in Indy August 15–18, I hope to see you SOMEWHERE in town during the weekend. If not . . . well  . . . I’ll miss you desperately and spend the whole time wishing you were there . . . but I won’t have time to slow down, there’s too much to do! NEXT year, be sure to come out to Gen Con!!!

FYI: I am about to head to the post office with ALL of the remaining copies of The Littlest Shoggoth that need to get shipped. They’re all international shipments (mostly Australia, but also U.K. and Europe), so I have NO IDEA how long they’ll take to arrive.

Well, okay, there are also STILL the people who NEVER answered their surveys … or answered them late with a shirt order, and missed the press time for the first shirt print run … but I feel fair in saying that they HAVE TO wait, and it’s not my fault.

Going to Origins Game Fair this weekend? Well, so is Squammy! “The Littlest Shoggoth” will be available at the Studio 2 Publishing shop (booth #433).

Reports are starting to come in from folks who have received their copies of The Littlest Shoggoth. I find this VERY exciting! Feel free to post pics or just “It’s here!” notices … and tell your friends! The book will be for sale to the general public later in the year.

It’s crazy early for me, but I’ve just successfully dropped off 250+ postage-paid packages containing copies of “The Littlest Shoggoth” at the post office. There are still about 100 packages here in the “warehouse” waiting to be weighed and have postage affixed … but the vast majority of the backers can rest assured: your books are already on their way!

As previously mentioned, we’re going to have a launch party for “The Littlest Shoggoth” on Saturday, May 18th at AFK Tavern in Everett, WA. We’ve sent out invitations to as many local folks as we could identify … if you somehow got skipped, or otherwise want to make plans to attend, just drop a note and we’ll get you an invitation straight away.

After two days of sketching, signing, printing, wrapping, and packing, I’ve got 200 copies of “The Littlest Shoggoth” in envelopes. The NEXT batch, though, are going take a bit of work … they ALL need sketches, and most need inscriptions, too. I’d be lying, though, if I said I wasn’t enjoying this. Can’t wait to get the book into the hands of all those backers!

Had a great weekend a the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival and CthulhuCon! But I’m back now and it’s time to dive deep in to the process of shipping out copies of The Littlest Shoggoth to the Kickstarter backers!
